Spring Colloquium Registration

The "School of Informatics Spring Colloquium" is the first ever collaboration of the GSAs of the Communication, Informatics, and Library Science programs to sponsor and event in which graduate students are able to present papers or overviews of current research to interested faculty and students.

The 2004 School of Informatics Spring Colloquium
Date: Friday, April 9th, 2004
Time: 3pm - 6pm
Location: 120 Clemens, North campus

Why Participate?
Each presenter will be awarded a $20 Barns & Noble gift card as thanks for the participation. This colloquium is sponsored by GSA and the School of Informatics Dean's office and we certainly encourage your participation, if not as a presenter then as an attendee. This is an opportunity to both see what your peers are involved in and also, to provide them with valuable feedback.

How to Participate?

Those interested in presenting must submit their paper/research abstract to the review committee--comprised of faculty and students--by no later than March 31, 2004. Please submit abstracts in person to Jennie Hwang at 354 Baldy, through e-mail attachment to jhwang8@buffalo.edu, or via the online registration form below. Those accepted for presentation will be notified by April 5th.

Useful Tips!

The colloquium is going to be a 2-3 hour event, so each presentation will be approximately 10-15 minutes. Of course, food and beverages will be provided. This is a great opportunity for those who will be presenting papers at conferences or defending theses or dissertations to get valuable practice and feedback from your peers and the faculty, so we encourage your participation!
