Chinese Students and Scholars Association (CSSA) is one of the international clubs under the leadership of Graduate Student Association (GSA) at the State University of New York at Buffalo. Its mission is to represent the interests of all members and to provide various services to all members. CSSA sponsors a number of activities each year, and develops friendly relationship with other organizations. CSSA also conveys solicitude from the homeland to all members with the support of Consulate-General of People's Republic of China in New York.
CSSA was established in the early 1980's when more and more Chinese students and scholars pursued their studies abroad under the open policy of Chinese government. Its executive board is established through annual elections by all members. President is the key representative of the organization. Board members assume designed responsibilities respectively.
CSSA membership is open to all students at UB. Most of its members are from China. At present, roughly 700 students from China are studying in different programs at UB. More than 100 visiting scholars are working here. CSSA is the second largest international community at UB.
We look forward to providing services to you. Any comments and suggestions are appreciated. |
