  • Come back to school for Spring 2005 semester GSA group meeting

Each group will share one description of how their native country celebrates

  • Documentary about Wangari Maathai, winner of this year’s Nobel Peace

Prize for her life work to protect the environment and human rights. Maathai is Kenya’s Deputy Environment Minister who has recently gained acclaim for a campaign to plant 30 million trees to stave off deforestation. She is the first

black African woman to receive the Nobel peace prize.
