Graduate Indian Student Association (GISA)
is a non-profit organization recognized by the Graduate Students
Association at the University at
Buffalo.
University at Buffalo is one of the campuses in the State University of New York system –
the SUNY schools. We welcome you to take advantage of UB’s
great diversity and large Indian population and participate in the various
cultural events, gatherings and parties throughout the year.
We
represent around 900 students. GISA activities include organizing
get-togethers and events to bring together the Indian Community and
share our proud values. We also give a hand to the incoming students
from India by providing temporary accommodation. We strive to make
their stay in the new place as comfortable as possible.
We aim at providing a
friendly and pleasant atmosphere to the Indian student community. We
promote the awareness of cultural diversity on campus by organizing various
cultural and social events.
