Locations near South Campus

UB South Campus is on one side of the Main Street (see gray area in map). Many Indians live near South Campus. Apartments near South may be at Buffalo or Amherst (see Map). These apartments near South are surrounded by grocery stores (Tops, Aldi, Jubilee), theatre (Dipson, Amherst), shopping centers (AJ Wright), gym in South Campus, banks (M&T, HSBC) and most Indians prefer to live here.

You can come here and then hunt for an apartment, by looking for 'For Rent' signs, sunyab.culture.india groups, school message boards, etc. You can also get a listing from Sub Board Inc Off campus housing office.

Cost of off-Campus housing

Usually 3-5 people share a 3-4 bedroom apartment. The monthly expenses depend from place to place and on the number of people staying together.

Approximate estimate of expenses per head per month:
rent: $200 - $250
gas (heating, stove): $20 - $75 (winters)
electricity: $20

grocery: $70
