if you are a new student planning to join UB, you might find this page helpful.

To those who choose to live off campus, I would recommend this website for housing. UB's north campus is located at Amherst, so those of you who would like to live closer to north campus should look under Buffalo-Amherst. UB also has a south campus a.k.a. Main Street Campus. Those of you who would like to live around Main Street Campus, should look under Buffalo-UB Main Street. To live in the any of the other districts, you would definitely need a car to get to the school. One quick note is that the houses/apartments around North Campus (Amherst Campus) are in generally better condition but more expensive whereas the houses around South Campus are cheaper but in worse condition.

Those who would like to buy a car in Buffalo, might find this website useful. One quick note is that, buyers should be ready to pay a yearly insurance of about $1000. About driving licences, you can either convert your own licence to an international licence or get a new one in Buffalo. for further information, you can take a look at DMV's website.

Finally, most of you may have heard about Buffalo's notorious cold. You'll be OK. for further information, contact us
